I recently participated in this publication led by Prof. Richard Robinson’s group (Cornell University) to demonstrate a new pathway for nonreciprocal optics. Instead of relying on complex metamaterials or strong magnetic fields, this work shows how semiconductor nanoclusters can absorb and emit polarized light differently from the front and back via chiral-linear optical interference.
